Theatre Edouard VII

I attend the play Faisons Un Rêve at the Theatre Edouard VII.

The play lacks substance, despite the applause at the end.

Le Palais du Louvre

I am confronted with the exteriors of the Louvre Museum in Paris.

Le Palais du Louvre began as a royal fortress in the 12th century. The museum opened its doors in 1793. And the glass pyramid designed by Chinese architect Architect I. M. Pei was inaugurated in 1988.

Place Vendôme

While in the French capital, I stay near Place Vendôme in the first arrondissement.

Place Vendôme was commissioned in 1685 by Louis XIV and designed by Jules-Hardouin Mansart. All the buildings on the square are identical.

The spiral column at the center was constructed in 1810 to celebrate by Napoleon’s victory at Austerlitz.
